We represent whistleblowers in claims brought under the Federal False Claims Act, New York False Claims Act, New Jersey False Claims Act, and New Jersey’s Conscientious Employee Protection Act. The Federal False Claims Act is one of the most effective tools used by the government to identify fraud and has returned billions of dollars to governmental programs. These laws allow private individuals to bring qui tam lawsuits on behalf of the government against individuals or entities defrauding governmental programs. If successful, whistleblowers, who are known as “relators” under the law, are entitled to a portion of the recovered funds, which can be substantial. These laws also shield whistleblowers from retaliation by employers.
